"Blessings In The Life Of True Believers 1 John 3:19-24

We have been looking a the tests of true Sonship these past few weeks. Are you a Child of God? Have you passed these test? Do you live a pure life by grace through faith in Jesus, does your life bear the mark of Christ or a habitual sinner, do you love your fellow Christians with the same sacrificial love in which Jesus loved us?

If so then you can enjoy the blessings John speaks of in this text, if you have not passed these test then these blessings are not yours because you are not a Son of God… However, you can become a Son of God today!

CPS: The Christian life is full of eternal blessings and today I will share with you three blessings found in the word of God that Christians can enjoy here and now.

I. True believers can enjoy an ASSURED HEART! Vs. 19-20 (5 Mins)

John gives us a much needed reminder.. God is aware of our good intentions, allowing Him to treat us more graciously than we treat ourselves.

A. Condemned Heart

B. Confident Heart

II. True believers can enjoy ANSWERED PRAYER! Vs. 21-23 (5 Mins)

This is not supportive of the Health and Wealth Gospel… The true believer can enjoy answered prayer because of his clear conscience and confidence before God, which enables the believer to align his prayer with the Will of God.

John gives two reasons for this

A. We Keep His Commands

B. We Do What Pleases Him

The believer can enjoy answered prayer because they are in the center of God’s will and their hearts desire is for God’s purpose, plan, and Glory.

III. True believers can enjoy the ABIDING PRESENCE OF GOD! Vs. 24 (5 Mins)

A. Fellowship “our abiding”

B. Sonship “His abiding”

The abiding presence of God is Proof Positive that you have passed the tests of Sonship and have complete assurance of God’s faithfulness keep you and seal you until the day of redemption.

Conclusion: The Christian Life is full of eternal blessings and these are three you can enjoy here and now, an assured heart, answered prayer, and the abiding presence of God! But these blessings are bestowed upon God’s Children!

Are you enjoying these blessings? If you are God’s Child by Grace through Faith in Jesus you can! Stop illegitimately condemning yourself and rest in the graciousness of God, Be obedient to the commands of God living a life pleasing to Him and your prayers will align with God’s will and will become for God’s glory, and Know that Jesus loved you so that He has manifested Himself in your heart through the out pouring of the Holy Spirit is in you! However, if you are not a Child of God you will never know or experience these blessings! BUT YOU CAN! Confess and repent of your sins, Trust in the Name of Jesus as your Lord and Savior and THE BLOOD OF JESUS, THE SON OF GOD WILL CLEANSE YOU OF ALL YOUR SIN and God will be faithful to forgive your sin and cleanse you from all unrighteousness!
